ABOUT
A Massachusetts native, Jocelyn Wadland is a Los Angeles-based actor with experience in film, television, and theatre. She spent the past three years in Boston, studying theatre and performance at Emerson College, and completed her BFA this past December, at Emerson's Los Angeles campus. Throughout her time at Emerson, Jocelyn has studied various acting styles, including Linklater voice/text work, the Michael Chekhov technique and Viewpoints, among others. She is represented by Jacqueline Butcher at Emerald Artists Agency.
Jocelyn made her onscreen debut in 2021, starring in Lucia Tarro’s short horror film Crowd Pleaser and shortly thereafter played a supporting role in Skewed, another short horror. She then ventured into other genres with the upbeat comedy Couples Therapy and the family drama Long Lost. Jocelyn landed her first television role in AMC Networks’ limited series Invitation to a Bonfire, directed by Cherien Dabis. She then appeared in the pilot of Concord Film’s series Paranormal Nobodies (a triumphant return to the horror genre).
As for her stage work, Jocelyn has appeared in countless plays since she began acting at the ripe age of eight years old. Some of her favorite recent roles include her performance as The Stepdaughter in Luigi Pirandello’s Six Characters in Search of an Author, and her ensemble-based experience in an all-female adaptation of Lord of the Flies at Emerson College.
